Picture Jasper Half Mala w Pewter Angel by... →
This pewter angel medal finishes the tassel of a picture jasper half mala that has 54 beads.  I was inspired by the look of Anglican prayer beads, as explained by Kimberly Winston in Bead One, Pray Too.  It’s a wonderful book about prayer beads from many different cultures. I love this little angel by “Green Girl”.  It says “guardian angel” on the back.

Tropical Seed Mala with Shell and Lavender by... →
Looking for a lightweight seed to make malas from, I stumbled upon this cream-colored bead with brownish, black cracks.  It looks like little nuts!  To me, it is a perfect mala to meditate with or to wear, although not a traditional material.  This one has been popular in my Etsy shop, but is definitely for certain people only.  Not a typical mala.
