heart of compassion malas

I make authentic Buddhist malas, using semi-precious stones and special woods and seeds. Malas are strings of prayer beads used with a mantra, held, or worn gently as a way of praying, focusing, and staying mindful. Traditionally malas are used by Buddhists, Yogis, and Hindus. But these days more and more people from all lifestyles enjoy them.
Needlefelted Obama Daughter Doll
One night in Etsy-land I happened upon LittleCabin’s shop.  She makes the cutest needlefelted dolls: the Wool Sheep, Frida Kahlo, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow Baby, and the Elsa Beskow doll.  I loved the Elsa Beskow doll, a Caucasian girl in white apron, red hat, red shoes, and long yellow braids.  My niece’s birthday is coming up, so it was the perfect present.  (Hope her mother doesn’t read this post and spoil the surprise!) But after a lifetime of pasty white girl dolls, I wanted one with a darker complexion.  So I requested, and got, the Obama Daughter doll.  We named her that together.  After going to the inauguration last month, I’m a real supporter, even though things are rough and we won’t know for a while whether his crew along with the “opposition” will be able to effect beneficial change.  Hopefully that will start to turn around soon.
Disclaimer:   I do not put political vibes into malas I make, only unconditional love! They work equally well for members of all political parties and for those who are non-political.
The Obama Daughter doll is available from Janet at LittleCabin.  Just visit her and request.  I just look at her and know how much love and care was put into her making.  She has real character, as a good doll should.  She came wrapped decoratively and the service was terrific.
I predict great success for LittleCabin on Etsy.  So nice to meet her. You have to see the Frida Kahlo doll, too. Everything I buy on Etsy for presents is wonderful and not too expensive. You can find presents for yourself and others in all price ranges, just as you can in my shop; my Etsy link is above.
You all take good care!
